Create and direct the SOURCE Soil Explorer, an immersive VR experience that brings microbial soil science to life—allowing users to explore how SOURCE interacts with the soil microbiome to enhance crop growth.
I vetted VR vendors, wrote the script, designed storyboards, collaborated with scientists and marketers to ensure accuracy and clarity, and coordinated with event teams to deliver a seamless user experience at major conferences.
Goal
Translate SOURCE’s complex biological science into an engaging, intuitive, and visually striking educational experience that builds understanding and excitement among farmers and industry professionals.
Approach
Develop a narrative-driven VR environment that shrinks users to the scale of a microbe, visualizing the invisible processes beneath the soil. Extend the experience into 2D video and social formats to maximize reach and usability across marketing channels.
Process
I led concept development and vendor selection, wrote and refined the full narrative script, oversaw 3D animation and interaction design, and managed voiceover and localization for multilingual deployment. I also coordinated with event teams to optimize on-site setup and ensure a polished, high-impact presentation at national and international trade shows.
In the field
The Sound Agriculture farm progress booth featured the VR experience prominently.
The VR experience had it's own station, used heavily at the Farm Progress event.
A VR station was built for the Sound Agriculture at Farm Progress - a large agriculture conference.
